The short answer
Use the DS Core order-to-lab workflow with the ExoLink recipient confirmed during onboarding. Review the scan and order details, then verify that the handoff has been received.
What must be confirmed before sending patient scans?
First apply as a clinic and wait for ExoLink approval. Ask the ExoLink team to confirm the recipient account for your scanner system and the clinic identity that should appear on incoming cases. This website does not publish a scanner mailbox, lab ID or ready-to-use partner identifier. Do not search for a similarly named account and assume it is the correct recipient.
Agree the permitted patient identifiers, data-processing responsibilities and information needed on the prescription before sharing files. Keep patient-specific information in an approved clinical system rather than the public contact form. Check your own scanner account permissions and ask your practice administrator if you cannot manage recipient connections.
Should you use DS Core or an older workflow?
Dentsply Sirona documents DS Core as its cloud-based dentist–lab collaboration workflow. It has announced the retirement of Connect Case Center, with transition details differing by market. Check the current DS Core instructions applicable to your account rather than relying on an old Connect Case Center tutorial. Your scanner and software configuration must support the intended transfer, and the recipient must be confirmed separately.
How do you complete the manual handoff?
- Confirm your clinic's recipient and DS Core access
After approval, ask ExoLink to confirm the DS Core recipient identity and your onboarding arrangement. Sign into the correct clinic DS Core account and confirm that the responsible user has the permissions needed to prepare and send lab orders.
- Bring the scan into the supported DS Core workflow
Use the scanner and software workflow described by Dentsply Sirona for your installation to make the scan available in DS Core. Check that the intended patient record and scan are selected. Resolve incomplete synchronisation before attempting to order.
- Select the case files for the order
In the DS Core order workflow, select the scan and any necessary supporting files. Check that opposing arch and bite data are included where the prescription requires them. Do not add unrelated records or unnecessary patient information.
- Choose the verified recipient and complete order details
Select the recipient identity confirmed during onboarding and complete the order details needed for your case. Dentsply Sirona describes ordering and communication tools in DS Core; use its current interface guidance rather than assuming every account has identical fields.
- Review clinical information before sending
Review the clinician's product, tooth references, shade and requested fitting date. Where preparation-margin or model-axis tools are offered, the clinician should review the results rather than relying on an automatic proposal without checking it. Resolve missing information first.
- Submit the order and confirm receipt
Send the order to the confirmed recipient, retain the order reference and monitor the manufacturer's order status. Confirm ExoLink receipt and prescription completeness before assuming the requested date is accepted. This handoff is manual, not an automatic API-import promise.
How do you know a scan has arrived?
A successful upload in the manufacturer's portal is not the same as an accepted ExoLink case. Retain the portal reference and ask the team to confirm receipt, the correct clinic and the completeness of the prescription. Do not book a fitting appointment from an unconfirmed delivery estimate. If the expected acknowledgement does not arrive, check the order status and contact the team without resending an identifiable patient record through ordinary email.
What if your menu looks different?
Manufacturers change software, licences and available workflows. Follow the current official instructions linked below for your account and region. If the recipient connection is unavailable, pause and contact manufacturer support or your scanner reseller. ExoLink does not claim an automatic scanner API connection at this stage. These guides describe the manual portal handoff; case intake and tracking will be introduced in later build stages.
Explore the clinic workflow, read about the lab network or apply as a clinic. Use Contact for non-patient onboarding questions.

Frequently asked questions
Where can I find the ExoLink recipient identity?
After your clinic is approved, ask the ExoLink team to confirm the recipient for your scanner system. No mailbox, account ID or ready-to-use lab identifier is published on this page.
Does this guide mean automatic scanner importing is live?
No. This is a manual manufacturer-portal handoff guide. Scanner API imports and tracked case intake are later build stages.
